Coffee & food options

Boathouse Theatre

Coffee, tea and more substantial fare is available at BV Gourmet on the corner of Grove Road and Park Terrace, a 10 minute walk or two minute drive from the Boathouse Theatre. In the interests of lowering our environmental impact and cutting down on waste, we encourage you to sign up to BV Gourmet’s swap-a-cup initiative rather than using a disposable takeaway cup. It costs $25 to sign up, and you receive a reusable coffee cup, plus 20% off coffee whenever you take your cup in for a refill.

If you’re looking for somewhere for a quick bite to eat between evening sessions at the Boathouse Theatre on Saturday July 7, BV Gourmet's Pop Up Kitchen will be open for an exclusive book festival dinner from 6.30-7.30pm. There are 50 seats available for a delicious meal and sweet treat at a cost of $25 per person. Get some friends together and book your tickets and meal here - your Saturday night sorted! MORE INFO & BOOK...

The Saturday evening sessions at the Boathouse Theatre are: the panel discussion with Diana Wichtel and Tom Scott 5.30-6.30pm and the conversation between poets Selina Tusitala Marsh and Glenn Colquhoun 8-9pm.

Cloudy Bay winery

To keep you tanked up before, during or after sessions, the cellar door at Cloudy Bay winery offers cheese and meat platters, smoked salmon and soup. See the menu.

Hunter's Wines

The cafe at Hunter's Wines offers charcuterie and cheese platters, a hot pie and wine flights - something for everyone at any stage of your visit.

Spy Valley Wines

Lunch boxes brimming with yummy picnic fare and a sweet treat from BV Gourmet are available to order for your Spy Valley visit. These will be delivered to Spy Valley on Saturday July 7 to enjoy between sessions at the picturesque cellar door. The cost is $15 per person. MORE INFO & BOOK...

The same packs will be available from BV Central on the Saturday and Sunday casually.
