2021 Programme

This year’s festival features 13 acclaimed authors and seven superb interviewers speaking in two beautiful spaces at the ASB Theatre Marlborough in Blenheim.

PaperPlus Blenheim will have a book shop set up in the theatre foyer so you can linger and discuss your festival favourites, and authors will be available after their sessions to sign books.

You can book online with the ASB Theatre Marlborough or pop into the theatre at 2 Hutcheson Street, Blenheim - the ticket office hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 1pm or an hour before each session.

Opening Night - Literature for Change

7pm-9pm, Friday 9 July, Whitehaven Room, $50

SOLD OUT

Join us in celebrating our opening night hearing from a selection of guest authors speaking their minds on the theme of “Literature for Change”.  Refreshments will be served in the ASB Theatre foyer, followed by this super sampler session of six authors freely interpreting a theme close to the beating heart of the festival.

Participating authors will be Brannavan Gnanalingam, Charity Norman, Christine Leunens, Elizabeth Knox, John McCrystal and Rebecca Priestley. This special opening night event will give you a taste of the treats ahead over the Marlborough Book Festival weekend and provide food for thought long after the festival is over.
