Anne Kennedy

Anne Kennedy is an award-winning poet, novelist, teacher, editor and scriptwriter.

She has twice won the country's top award for poetry.

Her novel The Last Days of the National Costume was shortlisted for the New Zealand Post Book Awards 2014 and her latest novel, The Ice Shelf, was longlisted for the 2019 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.

Anne Kennedy's latest novel is equal parts funny and heartbreaking. The Ice Shelf, a satirical tale of love, writing and climate change, follows fledgling writer Janice as she trudges around Wellington one stormy night trying to find a home for her beloved fridge before flying to Antarctica.
