The Godfrey Cheathem Arts Residency

A warm thank you to the Godfrey Cheathem Arts Residency in Marlborough, for hosting four of our visiting authors at their peaceful artist's and writer's retreat, set in a beautiful Marlborough vineyard.

The Godfrey Cheathem Arts Residency is named after the main character in a novel written by residency trustee Luke Elworthy, who featured at the 2023 Marlborough Book Festival. The purpose of the Godfrey Cheathem Arts Residency Trust is to create an inspiring living and working space for visiting visual artists and writers, which aligns beautifully with our aim to treat our visiting authors to some warm Marlborough hospitality, and provide the opportunity for them relax, mingle with other writers and perhaps even spark some inspiration.
